I’ll be adding this one to my ever-growing list of favorites for sure!
I love to look at pretty pictures of snow and I enjoy cuddling up under a blanket with a hot drink and watching the snow fall outside, but when it comes to sledding and playing outside, I almost always find a way to get out of it.. Lucky for me, we only get little bursts of Winter here and the rest of the time, the weather is usually rather Spring-like instead.When it does get really cold though, Chris and Kennedy always make the most of it and I have to admit, that they get up to some pretty fun things.. We’ve been working on an ice rink for the last two Winters.
Last year, it just wasn’t cold enough at all.This year we were a little more successful!.They’ve only actually been able to use it once, but still!
It’s so neat to have a real ice rink right on our property!.I have secret dreams of one day having our whole extended family out here for a big hockey tournament on our rink.. Of course, I’ll be the one inside make the hot chocolate for everyone for afterwards, but wouldn’t that just be perfect?.
Speaking of perfect… every once in awhile the creek freezes completely smoothly.
